OVERVIEW

Education is more than the transference of knowledge, it is the transmission of values, culture, and the proper ordering of loves.
— Ravi Jain & Kevin Clark

Classical Christian education has a rich history, used for millennia as a proven method for building sharp minds and a love of learning.  The classical model was the dominant method of education in the Western world until the late 19th century. Classical education is structured to leverage the natural development and aptitude of students at every age by equipping students with the most important tools of learning: the ability to read, memorize, understand, think, reason, write persuasively, and speak eloquently.

Focusing on the study of the Liberal Arts (Grammar, Logic, Rhetoric, Astronomy, Arithmetic, Music, and Geometry), Classical methodology is built upon three subjects (Grammar, Logic, and Rhetoric) of the Trivium, which is Latin for “where three roads meet.” Evergreen aims to graduate young men and women who have a deep understanding of their world; the ability to discern Truth, and the skills to think, learn, and influence the world for the glory of God.
